About
RUNE
A luxury boutique hotel curated by Michelin 3-Star chef Brian Lockwood
About
RUNE is a new 28,000 square-foot hotel development in downtown Boulder, Colorado, characterized by texture, light, and elemental materials in a thoughtful collision of timeless artistry. With three elevated dining concepts from Michelin 3-Star chef Brian Lockwood, each distinctive space is bound by a shared ethos of sustainability, an emphasis on the people and places we know and love, and unquestionably delicious food — culminating in an unprecedented culinary experience at the RUNE Chef’s Table.
With a knowing wink to tucked away watering holes and exclusive clubs, our refined nine-stool speakeasy will delight with spirited discussions and inventive drinks. A meticuliously curated, cultivated ingredient market will feature highly curated local and artisan goods, a signature Japanese knife brand, and a fish market sourcing the best of the sea.
Highly customized itineraries combine exploration with alchemy. Physical and spiritual personalized moments aligning with what matters most — connecting to yourself, others, and the world around you. RUNE houses three different baths, a waterfall cold plunge, and dedicated spaces for sound healing, hammam rituals, consciousness breathwork, and sacred journeys of all kinds. Living in the mountain base of Boulder, RUNE is surrounded by majestic heights, herbaceous flowering plants, rocky trails, and deciduous forest. RUNE is built not to blend in, but to stand as an ancient dwelling of wellness and transformation rooted in the Western landscape.
Business Opportunity
A rare investment opportunity in one of the country’s best real estate markets with one of the country’s most sought after Chefs, Brian Lockwood, Boulder has consistently been rated as one of the best and healthiest cities to live in America.
In recent years, Boulder has seen a huge surge of growth as large tech companies have anchored headquarters in Boulder. Google, Apple, Microsoft, Twitter, Cisco, IBM, and Oracle all call Boulder home. The recent Tech surge, coupled with other national brands and the University of Colorado have resulted in an extremely affluent demographic driving up the residential and commercial real estate markets and drawing retail brands from all over the world to set up shop in Boulder.
Currently, there are no luxury hotels or 3-star Michelin caliber restaurants in Boulder. A void that current residents and travelers are longing for. With Luxury and Culinary Tourism being some of the fastest growing sectors in hospitality with a CAGR of 26 and 17% respectively.
The Boulder market is in desperate need of this type of offering.

Sustainability
RUNE is an opportunity to redefine the landscape of what a single property can do sustainably. For one building to make a meaningful impact locally is a priority, but to change the way restaurants and hotels understand their impact on the world around them is an imperative.
To interact with our surroundings in a holistic way, we will take the product we receive and use each of its component parts to close the loop on waste, taking what is normally considered the debris of our industry and use it to build new initiatives and offerings for our guests and community.
